Counselling Kerry
Down the Rabbit Hole Therapies is based here in Kerry. I work with real people who are going through real pain. My clients come to me for many reasons, and the stories are rarely simple. Life throws a lot at us; trauma, illness, grief, fear, heartbreak, confusion; and it’s tough trying to carry all of it on your own. Just know this: you don’t have to.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy to people who need a safe space to talk, explore, feel, and process. I won’t throw psychobabble at you. I’ll meet you where you are, talk to you like a normal human, and guide you gently, and sometimes directly, through what’s coming up for you.

Specialist Support for Complex Psychological Conditions
Most of my clients come to me because they’ve been through something deeply painful or traumatic. You might be carrying memories or emotions that feel too big or too confusing to talk about with family or friends. I work with clients who are dealing with:
-
PTSD
-
Sexual violence
-
Domestic abuse
-
Abortion and reproductive trauma
-
Grief and bereavement
-
Chronic illness and pain
-
Family estrangement
-
Depression and anxiety rooted in complex trauma
It’s heavy stuff. But you don’t need to carry it alone. You bring your story. I’ll bring the tools, perspective, and grounded presence to help you untangle it — at your own pace.

What It's Like to Work With Me
I speak plainly. No jargon. No patronising tones. I see us as a team; you and me. My role is to help you get more clarity, build your emotional muscles, and learn how to self-soothe, self-regulate, and eventually self-heal.
I’ll call out the patterns that are holding you back, and I’ll always try to show you other perspectives. This isn’t about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all strategies. You’re not broken, you’re trying to survive with the tools you’ve got. Let’s upgrade those tools.
I work mostly with women, but I also support many men who need a space that feels safe and grounded. There’s no judgement here. Just honesty, empathy, and a lot of listening.
No Two Sessions Are the Same
You’re not a diagnosis. You’re not a label. You’re not just your past. Every session is shaped by what you need on that day. Some days, we talk. Other days, we sit in silence. Some sessions are filled with tears. Others might bring laughter or moments of real relief.
I don’t follow a rigid structure. Therapy is a fluid process. But I do bring professional training, psychological knowledge, and years of experience working with trauma and complexity. I stay grounded so you can explore what’s shaky or uncertain.
In-Person and Online Therapy in Kerry
I’m based in Kerry and offer in-person sessions in a quiet, private setting. If you can’t get here — because of illness, distance, childcare, or anything else — I also offer secure online sessions.
People often ask if therapy works as well online. It does. What matters most is how you feel in the space, not where the space is.
You Don’t Have to Just “Get Over It”
I hear it all the time: “I should be over this by now.” That line is poison. Healing doesn’t run on a schedule. Trauma lives in the body and the nervous system, not the calendar.
The work we do isn’t about pretending the past didn’t happen. It’s about giving your pain somewhere to go. Somewhere it can be seen, felt, and moved through — instead of pushed down, again and again.
You don’t need fixing. You need someone who sees you, not just your symptoms. Someone who listens without interrupting. Who helps you feel what you’ve been too scared to feel. Who shows you how to stop abandoning yourself when things get hard.
